Zero Hour

Tomorrow the clock will tick down to zero as the polls close and Mesa will know whether or not they will progress into the twenty first century with everyone else. This city is on the brink of self destruction and its citizens either don’t care or they are oblivious. Like a jolly fat man eating burger after burger this city has continued growing while the revenue has continued to shrink. Over the years we have turned down or voted out projects that would generate much needed tax revenue for the city. NIMBYs (not in my back yard) persist in blocking those projects that have made it out of committee or through the ballot process. They want Mesa to remain the quiet little city it was 20 years ago, well guess what, this is now the 40th largest city in the United States and it needs revenue.Maybe a brief introduction will help. I am new to this Blog. I am not a rich man. I guess that you could call me a handicapped staving artist type. I am legally blind and suffer from RP (Retinitis Pigmentosa) what little eye sight I have left dwindles day by day. I left the corporate world several years ago to pursue a dream to become an author. All the comments have been made, and all the issues have been dicussed. Its all up to you.Whatever you decide, I hope the decision you make will be based on information you have gathered, and not just on emotion.
