One of Mesa’s most sought after venues is the state-of-the-art Tom and Janet Ikeda Theater.Janet Ikeda gave Mesa a wealth of entertainment and one of the most prized theaters when she donated one million dollars to what is now the 1600 seat theater in the Mesa Art Center.I, like so many others have truly enjoyed the gift that "keeps on giving". The generousity and the legacy left for Ms. Ikeda’s late husband Tom and the family is remarkable and appreciated.The MAC is a highlight for Mesa along with the incredible architecture, the additional theaters - Piper Repertory, Farsnworth Studio, and Nesbitt/Elliot Playhouse.Although I’ve lived in Mesa about only 8 years, the family history and presence in Mesa is clearly felt.
