202 Freeway and Power Road

The sound of the jackhammer caught my attention as I entered the on ramp to the 202 and Power Road. Is it just me or do others question the pile of concrete rubble concealed behind a dirt hill?Has ADOT made a mistake in where the freeway pillars are aligned? How much of our tax dollars have been wasted on such a large error?

the Construction company working on that area realized that one of their support pillars did not have sufficient rebar. so, they had to tear it down and reconstruct. They say at their own expense. It will cause a delay in the completion of this project.

William is correct. And yes the contractor does take the loss. Also from time to time the concrete will not pass the PSI test, which the sub contractor will take the hit, it will cost us as citizens a delay, but no more tax money.
